Winter Trails

METRO GARAGE Trails Report

1/25/2026

Started at the Ken Kunkel Center across to Shirley’s Trail and across the Peat Ponds. Crossed Sheep Creek Road to access the Dunbar. Went to Dome Pond and back. Overflow on Moose Creek was solid and covered at this time. Enjoy!

2/27/2025

Lots of snow! Packed the Trail from Ken Kunkel to Polar Mine access.

1/15/2026

Dunbar trail maintenance. Lots of overflow at the railroad tracks by the Polar Mine Siding. Access to Dunbar is groomed coming from the Peat Ponds via upper trail to the Cell Tower opposite Jennifer Drive in order to avoid overflow on Moose Creek. Otherwise the trail is freshly groomed!

1/12/2026

Packed and groomed from the Peat Ponds to Dome Pond on the Dunbar. We brushed and cleared most of the trail. There is a bit of overflow on Moose Creek, but nothing bad. ENJOY and Happy New Year!

Keeping Fairbanks Moving for 10 Years
